I believe there are at least 3 designs for the mirrors.

I may be wrong, if so, please feel free to correct me....

Earliest style is 1 arm by itself, with either a small round or square mirror (My Dad's M35A1 in his photo album where he was in the Army in germany had the round style).

2nd style is the 2 arm arrangement like what you have.

Latest is the "west coast" style.

Now, I have a question: Why are they called "west coast mirrors"?

EDIT: I stand corrected: 4 styles............

Yep, those are elephant ears. My truck orignally came with those. Uncle sam upgraded them to the west coast. I removed the west coasts and put the ears back on. I like them because they vibrate alot less than the west coasts. Even though they are smaller, you can see better because they don't vibrate as bad. IMHO. I also like them because the elbow arms come off with one bolt.I can remove them quickly when going through the woods. Tree limbs will destory a west coast in short order.

Same ones I am running on my truck. I think they look better than the busy West Coast style.
Thanks again Ken for the arms.

My 5 ton had the elephant ears on when I got it, and they work well for me. No problem with backing and if you break one almost any parts store has them in stock. The west coast style kinda looks like a plumbers nightmare to me and the early style is too small to really see anything. Just my 2cents
