Dexter does make the unit. I don't recall which model but e trailer or croft do sell the parts for most of them instead of having to get the complete unit.

Did you get the one with the box on it?

That is good to know! I plan on bidding on one that has a box on it, but more than likely I will get out bid…Haha. Just needed to know if it would be an issue in the event I win. Either way I hope to be an owner of a M1102 sometime soon.

I took mine apart and cut a slot in it so that I could flip it over to tow level behind a 5ton on 16's.

This would have been about 2018 so I don't remember details but I'm thinking it was a proprietary one-off thing.

You're going to need that exact part, or a trailer to tow it on.

I'll pull one off my 1102 and send it to you and you can send it back after getting your trailer home. (Assuming you can't find one in a timely manner. )

Trailer pic, just because -

Thanks for the information and your offer. If I win the auction and do not have another solution by then, I will get in touch with you.

I have a working actuator off mine that could go away... if you're buying from Chambersburg I'm probably on your way. If you're buying from NC, I'm very much not on the way. (Of course, it won't do you much good for brakes unless you bleed the system)

The inside width of the tongue is 2", I have an extension/conversion (I wanted electric brakes & a ball) made with 2x2 tube. One of the bolts (IIRC the forwardmost one) is 5/8", and while I didn't verify, might even line up with a receiver pin hole... not that towing it home with a single 5/8" bolt being a single point of failure would be my cup of tea. If you used a regular receiver adapter, it'd probably drill a bit easier than my 1/4 wall did, though...

Thank you everyone. I ended up winning a different trailer that has all of its pieces. This will be my first military trailer. I hope the pickup and trip home goes well! Hopefully no buyers remorse haha.
