Man on the left wearing "Army Gloves".
I'm surprised: but then being Navy, never got to see any; they just weren't issued (singles or pairs).

My apologies, bikeman. I couldn't tell precisely; the camera image and the angle kind of made that all a little unclear.*ahem* those are Air Force gloves...

You might not recognize this, but the situation being uncertain and unstable, some of these images start to become unsettling.
Just one opinion, but want you to know.

USSR. This is a US military saying. US Army personnel are not authorized to have their hands in their pockets in uniform. But, our former air service, now the US Air Force, is allowed to. So, there is a saying in the US Army that they are using their "Air Force Gloves" by having their hands in their pockets. It's a joke/humor from our side.there paratroopers and partially GRU (specnaz) and Marines "black berets"

Now, seriously, how have they been identified as Spetsnaz (assuming that's the English version of specnaz)? or Marines? have insignia and patches been seen? or is it through local questioning?
Looks familiar....Meanwhile, in 2014 Russia start the state tests 5th generation aircraft.

I do not quite understand what you want)
Look at photos from Belfast, 1970's-1990's.There is quite a dichotomy in the one photo with 4 girls holding balloons with a soldier in the background. It seems almost surreal, like something in a dream.
