We are looking at two routes- either south on I-5 to Bakersfield and then east through Arizona and New Mexico into Texas, or east out 84 and then southeast down through Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico into Texas.

If you're along either of those routes, please sound off...

I'm in El Paso, sounds like you'll be going right by me. I have plenty of curb space outside the house as I live on a corner, I probably have 100-200' of usable space if you need a secure place to park for the night. My neighborhood is primarily Military and LE so you shouldn't have any issues. Also have a shop if any repairs needed.

Take the south route. Stay out of Colorado imo. I80 Isn't a bad drive across Wyoming. However when you get down into Colorado things on the RM front develop quickly and with alot of bad weather.

If you choose to go that way take 25 down to Raton, NM. Then east on 87 to Dumas and then down to Amarillo, then 287 to Dallas. It's all 4 lane from start to finished

I recommend the 5 to Bakersfield then east this time of year
