I use NAPA 1133 oil filters for my deuce LDS engine and the filters come only with the lower canister gaskets. No small upper gasket that goes under the canister bolt head is provided. I have been trying to find these smaller gaskets for some time with no luck. Anybody knows where to get them or has them or sale? Any other filer brands that come with them?

I'm going to do my first filter change with the OEM filters after I get the truck, but plan on changing all filters to the Jatonka spin on filters as soon as I can.

I like the anti-drain back feature of the oil filters to help get oil to the engine quicker on start up. Are there any tricks to changing them since in theory, they will be full of oil due to the anti drain back feature?

I believe I heard someone say to pierce the top of the filter to deactivate the anti drain back. Is that correct?

I just take a paper towel and lift the filter up wiping as I go. Then I toss the filter into a bucket and use the towel to wipe up any oil remaining. There is not enough spill to worry about.

I have had the Jatonka filters, all of them, for several years. Never a problem with any.

Cool, sounds like no down sides.

Out of curiosity, will the old canisters fit over the shinny new filters to keep it looking military? Not a big deal, just brain storming options for keeping the old look under the hood.
