So. I'm wiring my U.K. trailer up the M62 wrecker. As the turn indicators are the brake lights. on U.S. vehicles and The turns are seperate on E.E.C. vehicles. I spent all day altering the wiring, and ended up with a seprate Socket for E.E.C. Trailers, and left the orriginal U.S. trailer socket as is.
" the side lights packed up!"
Fixed the side lights...One headlight stopped working!
Fixed the headlight the turn signals stopped working!
Fixed the turns..The truck woudnt start, Solanoid U.S. (unservicable).
Fixed the solaniod...The engine oil primer went awol!
Fixed the priming pump, The Ignition switch went out!!
Fixed the ignition switch..The (extra accessory) WOLO fire truck Horn switch broke!
Fixed the wolo horn switch..The FLASHER UNIT BLEW!
Put the truck on charge berated the DOG! went for dinner.
Tommorows another day..(maybe Murphies visiting someone somewhere ELSE!)

I know what you mean. i walked past my deuce when i was down at the garage and i saw the one outside dual tire looked a little funny. i gave it a push with my knee and its flat. but at least its an outside dual. it could always be worse!

HEEErz Cristine And LUCAS

Got "cristine" the <Mark two> rim splitter in action today, with the DOG supervising..Changed two wheels and tires on my wrecker today. (while murphy was sleeping!!). You know what tho' I felt really Gratefull I COULD accomplish this task SOLO at my age with no ill/after effects" No rim splitter, no air wrenches, No help (today) as all our tackle is now in the new location 200 miles away. Just these two and the ambulance plus some kit to go there also now.
I took off (changed) the rims to Standard from the previouse wide stance. (you can see the wheel rims bieng replaced in pics) On the wrecker as I am going to re-design the wheel centres. and modify the crane mast to hold (accomadate the altered wheels.)

WHAT!!!?? Are you nuts!!?? You could get your nuts smashed/pinched there----possibly even lose your nuts----If I were you I'd be alot more careful with your nuts-- they are not that easy to get new ones if you lose your old ones--------rofl

Nice truck! "Lucas" sure is a handsome dog too. Just think of all the systems you are learning about on your truck.

Tnx for the pictures,

Nuts (2 u 2)

Waayfast..not knowing if yume' a josshing me..The (wheel) Nuts are old un's and (as no handy aluminum Wedgies) theyz "popped in there (method in the madness lol) to Prevent the tire riding back up, and so force the opposite side (I'm "pressing") down the bead...I Rim Paint ALL my rimes every 3 years..and this makes splitting rims Easy (ier!)..old Army Habbits. (Routine orders, maintnance, actually)
Road tested the wrecker fitted with the standard rims (and 1200 tires) and Very pleased..as the steering is "pristine" straight and no wobbles shimmy shake or judder. (most relaxing!)

LOL! Yep--joshing you!!

Hadn't seen that done before and thought with MY luck if I tried that, I would lose them inside the tire/wheel and have to dig them out (and my sleep deprived mind "ran off" with the attempt at humor:wink:)

It does look like a pretty good idea--using what's available to get the job done--also reminds me of the stack of Chevy G506 wheels I gotta tackle-someday-!
