Ten months have passed and this devil has started at the quarter turn.
I decided to redo the seals of the oil filters, it will be waterproof.
Ignition switch collapsed on fourth start (rebuilt).

I applied myself to the brakes, the result and the appointment, it brakes hard.

I would like to rebuild an Austin-Western crane to make it a wrecker.
So far I haven't found anything under $10,000.

I begin to study everything there is to know about the pressures.

I'll start with the Fuel Pressure provided by the electric booster pump in the tank.
I read 6.5 PSI should be between 5 -7 PSI
I built a fitting with pieces of torn pipes salvaged from a M.U.T.T.
You will notice, I have sealed nine.

I realized something was wrong.
- The truck does not exceed 1900 RPM.
- The pressure was good at the tank 6.5 PSI.
- Identical pressure after the pump between the two secondary filters.
Result: Broken pump drive shaft.
The pinion driven by the camshaft and inside.

We can see the pinion of the tree cut.

The sprocket is out.
The pump shaft, after inspection, shows worn tips on three splines.
Its condition is correct to be reused with new fuel pump gear.
This truck wants to roll!

While waiting for the parts of the fuel pump I take care of the winch.
The seal and the brake lining with the screws broken in the cover.
To extract the pulley a puller does not pass, the system manages otherwise everything must fall.
The casing does not come out either, you have to release a few inches.

New fuel feed pump.

Coming from the primary filter, this fuel hose can be questionable, so here it is together.

One morning, no more sound, no more pictures.

After mounting the new pump the fuel pressure ostensibly increased without reaching 20 PSI.
Dissatisfied with this one, I therefore took the original pump to my taste of better quality for assembly with the parts of my choice.

Here I am for a few days in the engine speed test phase using a fuel pressure gauge.
Maximum no load speed and engine (road driving) tests at full load.
I just got 2200 RPM but the pressure is not, a leak and appeared at the base of the HH surely the seal to be changed, no increase in engine oil.
At the same time I have to solve the change of wear parts which now appears thanks to driving, leaking brake hose, differential output seal...

1500 RPM 21 PSI

After disassembling the hydraulic head several times I ended up buying a new one.
No more leaks and the high power of the engine with all these RPMs is there.
I've been driving this truck for about twenty days now on the narrow roads of France. These elephant ears are always touching the olive or mulberry branches but it makes me happy.
The lights, indicators, horn, the braking system everything works perfectly, no more air leaks.

The left front fender is now half finished, battery tray, front shackles and headlights.
I'm looking for flexible antennas without much result.
to be mounted at the end of the bumper (archive photo).
I seem to have only seen the flexible model on wreckers.
