My newest purchase M35A2

The site has changed alot since the last time I was here years ago.
Anyways, I just picked up this A2 today. No title, data plate is missing, but the serial number is written on the dash. Curious as if anyone can determine the year? Also, does anyone know what the symbol on the cowl may represent?
Truck runs but needs some TLC. I'll get there..
