MY sarter needs a Solenoid

my starter was not working so I took it to a electric shop and they want $350 to replace the Solenoid, is this feir?

yikes! that doesn't sound fair to me. Unless I'm missing something....... Staurn has a whole new starter listed at $175, so $350 for a solenoid? I'd check with Joe Young or Dave at Eastern Surplus too, should be a common takeoff part

I only paid $70 for a new solenoid. Look for a better shop. If you don't find anything the shop I use has a one year warranty on theirs in Henderson, KY.
