I bought my 003 back in the spring and I've just recently finished up the transfer switch and a few other projects. I'll eventually post up some pics of that.
I have been getting an aux fuel supply set up and I've been getting a little more familiar with the fuel system. I have a couple of concerns about the fuel filter set up on the gen set now and I'm looking for some feedback.
I know the original fuel system has a strainer, then a primary filter, then a secondary. That set up was replaced with two NAPA spin on fuel filters before I bought the gen set (NAPA part number 4309). While this is a nice feature I only recently looked at the filter specs. The filters are NAPA part number 3123. NAPA states the the filters are 12 micron filters. I know that this is a typical primary filter rating, but secondary filters usually have a 2 micron or so rating. I'm thinking about replacing the second filter with a more appropriate secondary filter. I'm having trouble finding something to fit the spin on base with a 1-12 thread.
Any suggestions? Am I going overboard even addressing this? Anyone have the specs for the original secondary filter?

On a side note, I had a new in box (but old) racor 200FG fuel water separator hanging around that I was going to use to filter the incoming aux fuel. This one is a 2 micron rated set up, I may switch out the filter cartridge in that for something with a little larger micron rating, either 10 or 30 so it doesn't clog up as fast. I mounted it in a spot that is accessible, but somewhat difficult to service. I'm trying to keep everything in the ASK. I did consider swapping this one for the second spin on filter but it just won't fit in that spot.
