Well, at least it will give guys like Ferro someplace to post their old sea stories. Ferro tells one where he single handedly saved the main plant with some bailing wire, electrical tape and some PVC pipe.:jumpin:

While I'm sure the staff will appreciate your enthusiasm, remember that the forum is not a democracy. 10,000 votes for the additional forum won't guarantee it. With that said I'd guess that one is not that far off.
Of course it's not a democracy, but at least members can express their opinions. Where it goes from there.... well, take it or leave it, we did what we could.

Don't get me wrong, they notice this stuff. I wasn't for the M35A3 forum as it watered down thechnical info from the family of trucks. I'm all for this forum as it only ads good info to our forum. My opinion is that we may get some really good participation and pick up a new niche. I'll be pushing for it.

I took these a few months ago at the Gov Planet site in New Vienna, OH when I picked up my shelter. The person on site said he got every one of them running except one.

Well I now have a military boat and no forum to show it off on! Zodiac FC470 combat rubber raiding craft, picture for help.
I've got TWO of those here in Ohio that we secured for our youth mentoring programs and found out too late they had been DEMILLED, and SERIOUSLY. Those troopers in Kentucky (where the paperwork said they were released from) SERIOUSLY over reacted when it came to cutting the air chambers. They DO hold some air, but the fabric and glue for repairing them isn't readily available, so they're of little use to us. They're not going to be repaired, and do NOT have the floor kits, but if there are parts like the air valves and such that you could use, let me know, you can have them. Now that we're past the accountability period for them, we're going to dispose of them.

I've got another little watercraft project here too. Fibreglas, a bit older, and contract built for the Army. A River Assault Boat, built by Correct-craft. They nested in each other and were carried in the back of a deuce or on a short trailer. Only know of one more on a trailer with an outboard that was for sale, this one needs restoring, but hey its a good little boat when they're outfitted. I've actually used one out on open Lake Erie, but they DO have a tenancy to SWAMP coming ashore in heavier seas. A rubber boat, it AINT. This last photo is what they looked like when operational. The one I have was used (along with about nine others) by the Army Corps of Engineers on the Lakes. They slopped on extra fiberglas, glued in some rails and steel rings, to serve their needs. But will make a nice boat should I EVER get to working on it.

Would like to get the valves maybe complete boat. Can't believe idiot cut them like that. You can get glue and repair kits from Zodiac, not sure it would fix that though.
