Need ASAP Exhaust Manifold to Turbo Gasket OVERNIGHT Shipping

Hey All,

From everything that I can find, the part number for the M35A2 Exhaust Manifold to Turbo Gasket is # 1S-4295 (Photo Below)
I need this gasket ASAP. Does Anyone have or know where I can get one with Overnight Shipping???????

I know its probably to late to get it shipped today, and get it tomorrow. But if the fastest I could get it shipped tomorrow and get it by friday morning, that would be ok I guess.

I know some people have found them at Cat dealers, but the closest one is about a 100+ mile round trip from here. I would rather just pay the shipping.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Why not reuse the old one?

Why not order it from your closest Cat dealer?

Do you have any big truck shops local? (match it up)

Why does anyone need one overnight?

You do know this is pretty much against the site rules, right?

What's the emergency?

It's only 5:10 Pm in Cali.

I copied and pasted this, should be the info you need. Ditto field repair till you can get it. RTV

Deuce Turbo Gaskets - all 3 from CAT dealer
In my quest to swap out my D turbo to a C (whistler) I stopped by the local Louisiana Machinery, aka CAT dealer, to find the turbocharger gaskets required.

Here are the part numbers:
1S-4295 = $8.16 = Exhaust Manifold to Turbo Gasket
1S-4810 = $1.20 = Turbo Oil Drain Gasket
1S-6595 = $1.10 = Turbo Oil Feed Gasket

I originally found the exhaust manifold gasket part number in this thread.

keywords: turbo gasket, turbo oil gasket, deuce turbo gasket

no big truck shops here

I am installing a brand new turbo, J-Pipe, Muffler, top pipe and flapper, and all other needed gaskets. I just wanted to put in a new manifold to turbo gasket too.

I need it overnight because I don't have a garage to work in, so I can only work on the truck when the weather is decent. And I really need to get this done in the next possible chance, and I might have a couple day window opening up to do so. I bought the turbo and it said it had all gaskets, so I thought it would be with it. However when I received it yesterday evening, it only came with the intake and the other small gasket, but not the manifold to turbo gasket.

Its 8:20pm here in indiana. the only thing open is general autoparts stores, and I already checked at all of them in town earlier with zero results.

How is asking where to get a part from breaking the rules?
I just thought maybe someone knew of someone here that might sell such an item that could do overnight shipping.

I was just going to delete this thread when I read your post, but there is not a "delete" option showing in the thread tools menu for some reason... ? Unless its somewhere else? So please delete it if it's a problem.

I guess I'll try to call a cat dealer and see if I can get them to ship it to me.

Thanks

I already know what the part number is, as I found it when using the search here on SS. I actually read that exact post you quoted. I had the part # listed in my OP above.

Again, I just wanted a new gasket, as I am installing a brand new turbo, plus all brand new exhaust components and gaskets from the turbo out.
Thanks though

Get on the horn with White Owl in the AM. Depending on the depth of you pockets you can have it by 10:30AM on Friday. There are no dealers I trust more in a pinch than the gang at White Owl.

After doing a google search for "white owl"...
then "white owl surplus", I found the company website. I'll call them in the morning.
Thanks Again!

Why not call a Cat dealer and order it next day? I would have called one in Cali, because they could have taken your order before they closed .

I said, "pretty much" against the rules. It reads just like a want ad(other than your emergency situation) that I don't see as anyone else's emergency.

Why not contact the seller of the new turbo and request the gasket asap?

FWIW, you could install everything with no gasket at all. It would be fine.

You could remove the 4 bolts and slide a new gasket in later(in about 5 min)

A simple google search for the part number brings up a bunch of online parts places.

Do you have any construction companies around you that have semis and heavy equipment ? I know here at my shop I have a bunch of these and when I needed one I just went and dug through the pile. Or if you have to get in touch with a Cat dealer see if they have a drop box in your area. Pay for the part by credit card and have them drop it in a drop box (usually at a construction company).

Didn't you buy one of these out of the classifieds ? New in box Borg Warner turbo with gaskets.

Did it come with the wrong gasket?

How about an update?

Did you get gaskets overnight and where from and for how much?

The next guy in your situation, might be able to learn from your experience.

I've made my own turbo base gasket a few times. Just get the high temp gasket rolls from the parts store for about $10 a roll. Easy to make.

I ended up getting a cat dealer about 50 miles away to ship the Turbo-to-exhaust manifold gasket, to me UPS. Got it the next day and had the time and good weather to get the new D-Type turbo installed.

If the cat dealer didn't have it, or didn't/couldn't ship it, I was going to call White Owl Surplus and get it Overnighted.

I'll get some pics of the new exhaust system here in a few days and post them, as I don't think I've seen anyone with as large of a muffler as ours has now. Might be of interest to a few people here.

Thanks

Oh and it was somewhere between $12-15 bucks for the gasket and shipping. They didn't give me a final total for shipping while I was on the phone, and I haven't bothered to check our bank statement yet to see.

Just goes to show you there is a big difference between CAT dealers. I got 2 sets of 3 for $18.40 after tax and thought I was doing good.
I am concerned though that the oil drain gasket is the wrong size. On my White 465-D the oil drain tube has less than .100" of sealing surface on the sides of the hole and the 1S-4810 gasket only overlaps about .030" See attached photos. It made me nervous about an oil leak(i recognize this is not under any pressure, just gravity drain) so I made my own out of gasket material.
