Hello everyone, i got a 1969 kaiser m35a2 and i have a few problems with it and cant figure it out.
#1 I cant get this thing to start with out a shot of either after a quick spray is fires right up, don't know why it wont start without it.
#2 Next thing i have wrong with it is it wont go over 30 mph and that's down hill, sounds like the engine is strong and the rpms are high while driving with the foot to the floor. Other than that its a beast in the yard but at some point i want to get it on the road. i appreciate any help or suggestion i can get thanks

That is definitely not a dumb question..seriously, IF, he has his foot to the floor, AND the engine is revving it's nuts off! You are correct.
And this is a good time to get out or download the operating T.M.s, And read up on operating the truck, and familiarizing yourself on other necessary features you should know about.

I honestly don't think its a fuel problem... to the right of your leg there is a lever for the low gear.... you should read the manuals and I suggest really reading them. Especially the braking system. I think it is more important to stop a deuce than to get it going... Best of luck

If you are asking "what are the operators T.M.s") These are they. All this stuff can be found if you some researching, Also Try "Jankonta's" Posts. Actually a simple google search would have taken you to where you needed to be. Good luck, Study up ok.
Anyway, here you go. Technical manual - operator manual. T.M.9-2320-361-10

Let's give him the correct spelling if we're going to steer him in the right direction: http://www.jatonkam35s.com/jatonkaM35sTMdownloadpage.htm

Pull up the big lever that is a little under the seat, if you have a winch you maybe moving the PTO lever. It should come all the way up to the seat.

If it backwards, there are some odd things going on with your truck. All of the Deuces I have ever driven have the transfer case in high when the lever is UP where you can see it near the seats & down to the floor in LOW range! Let us know what you find.............

Could be that someone just put the plate on backwards, might be what he meant. If that was the case, he might have thought down was Hi and up was LOW. Simple plate switcheroo could be the entire issue...if we could always be that lucky when troubleshooting...lol.
