Need help. M1083A1P2. Ukraine

Heated Transparent Armor is 24v.

Under the passenger kick-panel is where you will find the control module and the circuit breaker module for the system. Remove the panel and the repair manual states the first step is to try resetting circuit breakers CB10X (position 10) and CB19X (position 19). Then check for operation of the heater.

You are awesome! I am pretty sure that it is what we are looking for. My relative has not answered me yet if he revised this button but I think it is the roots of issue with windshield heater.

Also - the manuals for these trucks are electronic and the troubleshooting for these systems is "interactive" and walks you through each step - is there someone your relative could talk to in maintenance to possibly get access to the manual for his truck? This level of troubleshooting is not technically "operator" level and is intended to be performed at the unit maintenance level. I understand if adverse conditions prevent that possibility - just trying to understand the big picture of your situation on the ground.
I fail to believe TACOM can not help here. If the Gov gives these trucks to the Ukraine, I just fail to believe there was no support to go along with it,
Uhhhhhmmmmm, you ARE talking about the current US Gooberment, correct???? We all know that giving and sharing are good, but sometimes, just sometimes certain people get confused and "forget" things......................ya know, like sharing manuals, 2nd Amendment, up VS down,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,simple stuff.

Thank you very much for your help. Since the topics of your questions and comments are similar, I will answer you in one message.

My relative is currently in the war zone, I am not. All my communication with them happens remotely and with long delays, sometimes I can wait several days for him to be online.

Regarding the fact that the US government has given cars to my country, but has no one to consult with, then this is simply an exception. As you know, a lot depends on the command on the ground, and in this case, the technician of the military formation in which my relative serves is unable to cope with this issue.
But since I am the only one on this forum, I can assure you that this case is more the exception than the norm. Therefore, you should not generalize this situation :) Next will be a joke: expect a question from me regarding the Abrams M1 :D

I am very grateful to you for helping us both in this issue regarding the heater and in general as a friend country!

If you are in a war zone and need to see through that windshield immediately then I would just run 2 wires with a switch from the battery box straight to the windshield.
You must put a fuse on them or you can start a fire.
If you cant play with it and its an emergency then this is an option. Its very likely that the windshield deicer circuit is pulsed by the electronics so it would be bad if you just left it on. Will probably need to pulse it on and off. Its also possible that doing this will damage the vehicle.
If its not an emergency then try and fix it the right way.

Thank you for these tips. We were also thinking of doing it this way, but while my relative quickly stops to clean the outside of the windshield and drives off quickly again.
But yes, maybe this will be a workaround for this problem.

I even fixed a M1A1 once!! It was going out of storage during the first Great Sand Box war, from long term storage. One of the Germans called me up, I walked across the train tracks, and there it was. Would not start. they cranked the motor over a few times, and I though, "No igniter". When a turbine turns over, before it lights off, you always hear the igniter. And low and behold, that was it. Like winning the Lotto. Pure dumb luck.

No problem. If those circuit breakers are open and don't stay reset you can try swapping them with regular fuses - if those burn out it is likely there is a short circuit somewhere. If they are set and still no heater action please reply back and we can continue further with the diagnostic flow chart.
