GMG here. There is absolutely no downturn in MEPs. There are typically one to two MEP sales each month only on GL. There are other sites that are also selling units. That said, we are far more focused on parts than whole goods at this point. The costs of generators at auction have gone up dramatically in the past three years - making economic refurbishment very difficult. Through our 7 year+ history, prices have almost tripled for auction units. We supply parts all over the world. Over 7+ years of purchasing whole-good units on GL and elsewhere, about 1 in 3 units are not economically repairable to the point where they will pass our load-bank tests and be of high enough quality to resell as a GMG refurbished unit. That is not to say an individual could make that unit 100% with more time and money. It's simply that GMG (and most resellers) can't make any profit on the unit when you figure in shipping, storage, parts, labor, and other overhead costs.
