Need Some Assistance

The two 923A2 I have came from the military with ATF in the trans.

Ok, so I need to adjust the linkage (throttle and/or trans) to get it to shift into 5th gear. Can anybody tell what is the procedure for adjusting said linkage(s)?

Is there certain or specific steps that need to be followed to get the proper adjustment?
