need some info on radio install ?

Hi Guys, Im looking for some help and info on the type and spec of the radio installation that might have been in my1008, It is an ex US Army Germany ADA UNIT (Patriot Missie Battery) its currently fitted with 4 antenna mounts on the bed, ther are the nutserts in the bed for the rack mount, the passenger footwell has an extra plate fitted,not the CAM MONITOR one, and there has been a bracket mounted on the dash as well as the normall head monting plate, any help would be greatly appreciated as getting info here in the UK isnt always easy

The radios in the M1008 would normally be the VRC-12 family. The following references should get you started:

TM 11-2300-373-14-5 shows the installation of the radios in the M715
TM 11-5830-401-20-1 shows the installation of the radios in the CUCV series, although they use the M880 as the example

both these TMs are available for download from the SS tech manual section

TB 11-5820-890-20-25 covers the installation of SINCGARS radios in the M1008A1 which should be very similar to your installation, with the newest family radios. It can be downloaded from the LOGSA web site at this url:
