I installed a new Delco replacement altenator on the passanger side of my m1008, still not showing a charge on alt guage in truck, and #2 light stays lite. Meter reads 14.5 showing a charge.
I noticed a broken wire on the buss bar, could this be my issue with the light staying on and alt guage still bellow green zone. I attached a pic of the small broken wire.

Check the gauge, maybe just a bad gauge. Also what combined voltage do you get when running?
The TM has a great troubleshooting section for this. Voltage should be around 27??? when both alternators are working and batteries are good.
