New Diff's & MPL covers

Well, I haven't posted much in a while, but this week i'm replacing both of my differentials on the M998
I also decided to replace the stock covers with MPL covers, aluminium with fins, the best part, I can add about an extra 1/2 quart of lube and apparently run about 10 degrees cooler, time will tell.
I also got the HF 450Lbs transmission jack ($100.00) to facilitate the job, it works well.

Very nice. They have tranny pans that you can tap into to run a temp gauge which I was sorta looking for. Thanks for the link.

Got the rear done, just waiting for the brake pads.
I will tackle the front one tomorrow

What was wrong with old diffs?

They where getting noisy, I'm thinking the side bearings, since it took little effort to remove the flange nut.
They have about 30K on them
