What you have there is a late model (third model rear body 1944-45) Dodge WC52, with the winch missing.
Parts are fairly easy to find. Midwest Military's got most of the stuff you need.
The basic 213 c.i. engine was built by Dodge, in one form or another, until 1968 or so. The gears are a tad high, but you can cruise along all day at 45 m.p.h.
Look up the frame number, on the left hand front frame rail, just in front of the front suspension. The number should begin with 815, 816 or 817, and be a total of 8 digits long. You can find out around what time the truck was built from this number.
The value of restored original Dodge WC51_s or WC52's have skyrocketed in the last few years. Willys MB's and Ford GPW's are getting so expensive that more and more people are turning to the Dodge WC as an alternative. They are small enough to fit [barely
] in a regular garage, with the rear top tarp and uprights taken off.
Good luck!
