Hey guys Ive been watching these forums for a while and I finally pulled the trigger on an 86 m1008 and I suspect Ill need all the help I can get. I was also wondering what the MV scene in Washington was like, in terms of events and help.
Im really excited to jump in to the world of MVs. Also this is my first truck.

Thanks

I have big plans for my truck and I am planning on starting a build thread once I get to the interesting stuff. Right now Im just trying to get it up to scratch and to the level where I feel good about taking it on long road trips.
My end vision for it is old school expedition truck.

There are a couple of mv clubs in the area. I belive one is called Puget Sound MV collector or something like that and meet once a month in Redmond at BE Meyers corp. Im pretty sure most those guys have older rigs that do showcase builds. From time to time the XXX drive in on the Front street exit in Issaquah has a ralley. Some cool rigs show up. Half trax tanks and old rubber mvs.
