Interesting truck. Based on the model number and the bed, it was originally set up for single real tires, not duals. The original wheels had a different offset.

The truck looks very restorable and I see it has a heater.

I forgot to include my plans for it.

I am going to make a Offroad truggy with it.

Keeping the cab and fenders stock on a custom square tubing frame using 2 axles

4Link rear,3 link front with panhard bar on air bags

16.00R20 XZLs on super single wheels

6BT Cummins swap/auto trans.

Basically, I am building a really big rock crawler/mud truck

That's a beauty! Untouched? I mean untouched as in not re-painted...obviously not untouched where someone smacked a fender and poked her eyes out but she looks like it did in the 50's.

Does it have the Continental engine? There was or maybe still is one like that over here that had the Continental in it and a crane on the back. Never wanted one until I saw yours so thanks for sharing the pics.

That is a truck with a whole lot of potential to be a real beauty with a little bit of effort! Would seem a real shame to chop it up!

IMHO, this is too rare of a truck to cut up and make into a rock crawler.
I agree, problem is that none of us own it so we really have no say in what he does with it. Shame really.
You need to do what you want, but there's strong heart among us that can't help a feel of loss sometimes. Wouldn't be honest to say otherwise.

Whatever you do, keep posting it here. Interested in what you got going.
