hello,

My name is Ziggy-- I was sort of informally introduced to you guys a few days ago by my friend NJdrillsgt, from the Cedar Bridge Military Academy(I have the M1009 shown in the pics). In addition to volunteering there, I am a certified MV junkie. I got into this when i was 16 (it all started with an M105 trailer my dad and i got for utility purposes) and I never looked back. Now almost 8 years later, I probably have amassed enough stuff to equip my own army. Currently I have a '43GPW, '46 Cj2 in civil defense livery, '46 cj2 with ag implements,'64 M35a2C, '71 m825, '75 M151a2, '84 M1009, '96 humvee (well its actually an H1 partly back converted to mil-- and my dad owns the lion's share of that), and a whole mess of trailers and other stuff.........I am also hardcore into mil radios (mostly the nam and later stuff).................if you are wondering what my secret is to accumulating all this stuff by age 24 its simple---- I have no social life to speak of :) (just about all the girls at rutgers university where i go are either commies or lesbians  -- the only real benefit to not having a girlfriend is that i get to invest all my funds in green stuff  however it does get lonely driving them by myself).......But in all seriousness, I am happy to be aboard...................

Now on to the business stuff--- I recently bought out a fellow central NJ collector who had been at it for about 25 years. In this lot came the '64m35 and '71m825 mentioned above as well as 9 other m35 series trucks in various states, many m105 and m416 trailers, and enough parts to fill several semi trailers (there are some m151 parts in there too).........I had to buy the whole lot to get the two vehicles i wanted so alot of the other stuff will be up for sale (and alot of that will be at below market prices)............So if you guys need or want anything, let me know cause chances are i probably have it (all i ask is that you be patient with me cause i have not even begun to inventory this stuff in any depth yet and I have to juggle this between school, and my service with the academy)....................

Ziggy,

Big Colorado Welcome. I am extremely envious.

At 52, I am planning to purchase and pick up probably my ONLY MV (OK maybe an M105 trailer). It's a 1968 M35A2 currently owned by Jeff Sabo. We worked out an acceptable deal for both of us last weekend.

I will be picking it up on Saturday the 14th of Jan. In all of those other M35's do you have any salvagable fuel tanks? I'm looking for three.

Welcome again to SS. jim

And a big hello from North Carolina... Of course, I'll be scratching my head to figure out what you can bring down to Aberdeen for me in May... I'm also looking forward to your participation in the 2006 East Coast Convoy (folks, Ziggy didn't say, but he does a great job running convoy escort for the northern contingent...).

Great, the year I can't go to Aberdeen, Chris decides to go. Maybe I can scam an M880 and go!

Get a "cheap" plane ticket to RDU, call local MV owner to arrange for pickup at airport, ride/drive up to Aberdeen in his M37 or M35A2C (not sure which one will be making the trip this year...)....

Convince him that he really "needs" to make a trip to Florida for a vacation so that he can deliver all the stuff you purchase...
