I have two M37's at work. One is mint('53) and one is a parts truck('52). I would like to clean up the good one and keep it maintained, that being said I cannot get funding to do it from work(local gov.). So, I would like to do some trading. I am looking for a repair manual and some info on the best place to get plugs and filters. I am hoping I could get some of the mentioned items for items off my parts truck. Thanks in advance. PM me for more details. Mods, please move if this should be in the classifieds.

try g741.org they can point you in the right places. there are a number of places that sell the things you are looking fore. try john at Midwest military or sid beck, and vintage power wagons is a good place to.

Oil Filter is a Fram C21 or equiv. that can be ordered at any parts house. For plugs, are you running shielded cables or or has the truck been converted to civilian? Military plugs are available from any military parts supplier for about $10 ea. Civi plugs are Champion J-8 or equiv. also available at any parts house. Vintage Power Wagons is a good source for most anything, including a reprint copy of the various manuals. Welcome to the site. I worked for a city many years ago fixing army trucks, and I discovered they had an open account at an auto parts store, that solved my procurement problems.

Why do they have them if they don't want to maintain them?

I don't really want it. I'm 6'4 290, I can hardly drive it with the door closed. I just hate to see it rot away. As for the gas tanks, the one on the good truck is fine, i'm not sure about the parts one. I'll remove it when I get back to work, if its good I'd be willing to trade it.

I'm with you, I hate the see cool old trucks like this sitting around rotting...

As for the manuals, I know it takes a little $$ (about $50), but I got mine on ebay, and it really is a WEALTH of information.

The filters should be relatively easy to come by, I usually replace mine every other oil change (just drain the filter and oil, wipe out the sludge in the bracket)...
If they are old enough to have been obtained with Civil Defense funds, it is possible that the local branch of the forest service/state forestry agency could help you out...they may even be FEPP (Federal Excess Property Program) in which case they most probably WOULD help you get parts/manuals to keep 'em going.

Maybe the sheriff's office will get a chance to use the old girl in a flood or snowstorm and they will really appreciate what a power wagon can do, they really ARE useful trucks to have around!
