Congrats on the M105. I just got my first 105 today but pulled them in the Air Force plenty of times so I new what I was getting into. Don't worry about the weight empty... Loaded down is a different story. Get a pintle mount that will elevate it about 12 inches and then spin the lunettes ring upside down to gain another 5"s. I just put magnetic lights on mine temporarily. There is a quick adaptor you can get online for the electric but it sounds like you probably will have fun with that on you own. I'm no electrician.

Here is a trick for changing up an M105 to a great well balanced trailer. Remove the 9 x 20 tires and install 12.5 x 16 tires from a m796 bolster trailer or an M1061 5-ton trailer. Even better, start with an M105A3 version and you get surge brakes. Lose the weight, keep the rugged construction and gain overall utility. Photos attached. I have ten of them.

Looks Sweet! Where does one get the rims from. I did a quick search on the web and found tires but not rims to fit the 6lug pattern. Did you get rid of the helper springs and axle or kept that as is?

I purchased ratty bolster trailers (M796A1)with the tires flat or damaged. I discarded the rubber, kept the rims, and usually got about $400 from the junkman. I rarely paid more than $375-400 at auction and the bolster yields four rims. I pay $214 a tire plus tube ($50)and mounting from my local Goodyear dealer.
