New HH, now a lot of smoke and no power???

Sorry Buff, I had too much going on today to think clearly and give you better information.

No problem Chris, it happens to the best of us!! I really do appreciate all the help with the HH install. The second time will be much easier!!

Hmm, you must be talking about the tappet shaft end? When you said "new" or "rebuilt", I assumed it was completely assembled!(oops).

The tappet shaft spring and retainers are just like a common OHV engine uses. It also has a "wear" button on the end.
