Here we go, my dad and I have been working on this for 14 months, trying to get it ready in time for the Independence day parade, where it will be the escort vehicle for my M35a3, which is scheduled to carry Vietnam Vets from the Long Beach VA. This means a lot to me as a serving member of the armed forces, and from a family who unfortunately has paid the price more than once. Anyway, its all about good times now, and this project has been a real father and son project. My Dad is 72, and still working in his own company, but he takes the time out to help me with this and get it done right. Piece by piece its all coming together.
There are not as many HMMWV's in the Navy but more than you would think. The EOD guys have been very helpful allowing me to prowl around their trucks to see how things go together.
