A friend of mine BLOWNZ just got a M-818 that has the new style push button switch. The proclem is all the switch will do is flash. The blue led's just flash and never stop as long as the battery switch is on. Any Ideas on why it would do this? I'm looking for something more indept then to replace it with a 3-lever. thanks guys

It's fried. Get a new one if you dont want to replace it, but keep the 3 lever handy.
Guess which switch in in every MRAP and JLTV canidate? Hint-- It's not digital.

emmado22 is correct. Very liked dead. They are well known for getting fried easily. That is why it is also very important to install the grounding wire when installing them. But even that doesn't guarantee that they will survive.

The new style switch is cool, as it lights up in the dark. Though I have driven the trucks long enough that I know in what mode they are in just by feel (using the old lever style). Most people stick with the old style. Or at the very least, keep the old lever style in the map compartment if you have the newer one. Naturally it will die on you when you are far from any replacement ;)
