Sounds like your switch is dead, just like the many thousands of it's brothers and sisters. I went back to the old style 3 lever switch after burning out 2 of the pushbuttons.. They suck.

I have a couple of the switches and have not had any problems with them. However, I have heard that there was a bad "run" of switches. I am not sure the serial numbers, but I was told that these were some of the ones that were cut loose. Perhaps, you have a switch from this lot.

I had the same problem and replaced four relays internally in the switch. It cost me about $30 or so for the parts from digi-key and I had a relative that does electronics replace them. There were four relays and they were surface mount relays. If you take it apart you will see the relays are smoked.

emmado hit it... THere is something about the ones produced before (if I remember correctly) 2004 ... ida34 is also correct, changing the relays is not a hard thing ehter.

I love my push button switch. I've made all the 'errors' when operating it and never a hitch. /knock on wood/ I'm just not smart enough to operate the three lever switch!

I have one of the take out rebuild. No ground wire. It works ok. What I don't like is that if you do not turn it off it has a light that stays on and drains the battery. On the three lever switch if I left it on it did not run down the battery.

Replacing the light switch relays..

Can I send the relay to one of you that has done the job and pay you to do the repair. I paid too much to throw this out.

Thanks
