Hi all. I am currently awaiting delivery of my new-to-me project ‘04 M1097A2. Only had to wait 2 days for approved EUC, curious how quick it was. Anyway, I’m not new to Steel Soldiers, having already fixed up a Fermont 803a. However, I am new to the HMMWV threads. I am looking for the most specific TM for this particular unit and have heard about the “dash 10” TM as well. Is the M998 TM used for this? Would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction for the exact TM needed, as well as the “dash 10”? I would like to start reading while I wait for delivery. Can’t wait to start the project!
TIA

The 1097A2 is a heavy variant M998A2, so the first set of TMs that include the M998 are the correct ones.

This is the link to the TMs section of the site that has the manuals you are looking for, from the -10 operators manual to the -34 depot level repair manual. The majority of what you will be looking through are the -20 repair manuals and the -24P parts manuals.

In the parts manual, the parts specific to the M1097A2 have the UOC (Usable On Code) of "BVY"

When ever you are not sure if a TM is the right one for you, look at the TM cover. It lists all the variants by Model number, and also important, NSN. Why NSN? because while the model number is for that type truck, the NSN can often tell you if it is with, or without a winch. Or other slight differences.

TRUCK, UTILITY: HEAVY VARIANT, 4X4, M1097 (2320-01-346-9317)(EIC: BBM); M1097A1 (2320-01-371-9583) (EIC: BBU); M1097A2 (2320-01-380-8604) (EIC: BB6); M1123 (2320-01-455-9593) (EIC: B6G);

Understood, thanks for the info. Will post some progress pics once I start. 👍🏻
