New to me M923 recovery questions

Hi all, Ive been lerking around for a good while now and I jumped in just bought an M923 5T off of GL. I have to wait on my EUC to go thru. So in the meantime, I'm planning the recovery. I have 99% of the tools, just a few questions on stuff like lug nut size, oil/fuel filter numbers, type trans oil for allisen, ETC. I'm gonna try to make a pre-trip or 2. Its only 200 miles away.

Anybody in Texas know about temp tags, stopping at the scales, or how the LEO's feel about civ in military truck.

Any info would be great. Ive looked around and didn't find anything with the details I'm looking for. Hope im not Doug
