New to Our Family M998

[PA998]

Hello all. My Dad (USAF veteran) recently got the HMMWV bug. After a few weeks of research, and test driving my neighbors HMMWV, we located a really clean M998 for sale in MD.

It’s supposedly a 1998 rig. By the looks (and mileage) of it, it has to have been rebuilt recently. Anyhow, here are some pictures. We’re looking forward to learning more as we wrench on and read about this beast!

Nice clean truck! Looking at your tires and Im thinkin I may need a set soon, those are in good shape!
I noticed you have fording dipsticks on the engine and tranny, you may have a fording kit on it aside from the exhaust and intake?

I live in Maryland and what is the MVAs opinion on title and tagging. I'm know there are ones you can and ones you can't. Any ideas?

Thanks! Yep we’re thinking 6.2 as well from what time we see with the cover removed. I’ll grab more pictures next time I’m back at my parents place.
