I have a 1123 and an 1152. I'm looking for either front or rear winches. The front winch that mounts behind the bumper with out extensions. For the rear I've had a couple thoughts. Removing the pintel and using that hole for the line or see if it would be possible to mount it further back behind the pintel and try to run the line just below the bumper. I would like to keep as much of the approach angles as I can. Also if I'm in the wrong forum please point me in the right direction.

Thank you,

Welcome to the SS forums.
There is a winch mount made especially for the rear and many winches can be mounted in it.
You can do an internet search for 5340-01-485-5962, here is the cheapest one I found with a quick search, the fairlead is right below the bumper.

That doesn't look as bad as I was thinking. Have you hit it before offloading
I never had an issue, it does reduce the rear departure angle a little bit but does not reduce the overall ground clearance of the vehicle.
It is very well protected so if you did scrape it off road it would not likely be a problem.

I modified one of the rear mounts to fit on the front, but that was part of a bigger bumper/brush-guard project and have a 12K Mile-Marker hydraulic winch installed
There seems to be several different options for the front but there are others that know allot more than me on that subject.
