Hello from New Brighton, MN.

So the other day the title to my 1990 BMY HARSCO M923A2 came in the mail. I am now a proud owner of a 5 ton.

I have been been like a little kid for years driving my wife nuts pointing out and "OOOH ....AWING" every big military truck we saw on the road. I'll still do that... but now I have one too.:-D

The other day I went to sign up for the forum and it turns out I've been a lurker since 2012. I have a lot to learn about these vehicles but hopefully through this forum I can learn and also help out some too.

Just wanted to say hi and as I've read if there's no pictures it didn't happen so here's my new toy.

Thanks guys. Yeah, the SS member I bought it from started out with a nice truck, made it better and took really good care of her. I got pretty lucky with the whole deal.

Replace at least the steer tires, the XL's are old and I've seen quite a few blow out. Nice truck though!

Welcome to Steel Soldiers! Congragulations on the truck, I, too, am hopefully getting one at the end of this year, an '84 M923A0, special to me because it's from the NG unit in the country I grew up in. Looks like you got yourself a good one!

Thanks for all the welcomes.

She's indoors right now just due to the generosity of the SS member i bought it from. I kinda put the cart before the horse buying this truck, actually i need to find the horse now.

I've only driven the truck on the test drive and that was only about 3 miles but the grinning lasted for days. I'm pretty amped about it. I cant wait for the snow and salt to go away so I can get it on the road and have some fun.

Welcome from south Florida, I have a M923A2 also and love it, she's my almost daily driver. Not good on gas mileage, rides rough, little on the loud side but I wouldn't trade her for anything.

Welcome to the 5 ton club and to the sight from Cape Cod, MA. Do a lot of reading on here and the TM's. Make sure she is road ready and then go out and enjoy. I really enjoy mine. Add more photos when you get a chance.

I lurked for 4 years before I bought my first truck and joined this circus. Welcome aboard, and if you don't watch out, that truck will start multiplying!
