Hey everyone. I just bought an M1008. I am new to MVs, but not new to C/K series trucks. I had an '90 K5 for a couple of years but sold it once the family had kids. Now that the kids are a little older and I am in need of a truck, I thought an M1008 was a good choice. Here are my plans...

  1. Ship my M1008 home. (Great deal on uShip.com)
  2. doghead starter relay mod
  3. New tires? Probably going with the BFG AT
  4. Drive it around my farm for awhile until I get it registered and insured.
  5. Go over it with a fine tooth comb
  6. Fix what I can myself and have the rest addressed by a buddy who is a mechanic.

It will be my daily driver, but my drive is under 55 the whole way so I think I can tolerate it. I work in a building on a upscale golf course and can't wait to see the looks when I pull up in my truck canopy and all. :mrgreen:

How am I doing so far?
