I agree with you guys. I'm very responsible driver. I like to have fun but only at my expense. I wouldn't ever be able to live with myself of I hurt someone else if I was doing something careless. That being said the disc brake swap would be done. I wouldn't want to hot rod around in something this big(if It's even possible) Im just looking for something to do ALL my needs with the least amount of downfalls.

For those of You who have bobbed there deuce. Is there any cons to bobbing? I don't know all the work that goes into it. But i would think that a 4 wheel deuce is slightly less capable than a 6 wheel. You probably loose some gvwr, and off-road capabilities huh?

There is something awesome about looking down at the tractor trailers driving by from the perch in the 923. Massive difference when parked next to a deuce. I would agree for a daily driver a bobbed 5 ton is the way to go 65 + mph on the highway, power steering, lots of payload and towing capacity plus great off road, air actuated front axle means you would be in 2 wheel drive most of the time. The only drawback in my opinion is the allison transmission. While auto is easier, allisons have their problems and I think a good manual trans would be better and more bulletproof. My 2cents
