Ok a little info for you guys. I needed a new engine and cab wiring harness for my m1028 because PO owner hacked it up. This is the 2nd time I have done this swap. The new/used harness is complete and not hacked. I also took out my steering column and replaced it with a known good one, because the old one had a bad wiper switch. No problem i have done them in the past. Here is where it does not make sense. All of my fusible links look fine and tested them with a light. I have good fuses, and cleaned the grounds and fuse box, I can only get the dash lights to work. Any suggestions? So power is not getting to keyed sources.

Check your ignition switch.

Lights arent switched power by key.

no power in the fuse panel at all except lights. I switched out the column for a known good one. I need to find out what one or ones are the main wires to the panel. I have a hard time reading the manuals. I think the problem is somewhere in the firewall connection.

Ok just checked the ignition switch and there is power in the red wires. There are 2. One in the black connector and one in the blue connector. Both are live so I need a switch. Kinda odd both columns do not work.

Just swapped in another column that just came out of my red truck. It is doing the same thing. I took out my meter and checked all fuses and they are fine. One thing I did notice is when i turn the key to run I loose power at the steering column at the red wires. Does that sound right. It seems it should power up the pink and orange. to go to the heater and engine control????
Please I really need help on this one. I need to get this running asap because it will be snowing soon and this will be a plow truck.
