Good point about the garage being an amplifier. No grass behind it, though, it abuts the neighbors fence. A tent in front of it might work.

Pad, thanks for the confirmation. Overheating it by surrounding it had me wondering if cooling would be a problem. It'll be in the 40's, which will help though.

The generator needs both cooling and combustion air. Running it in an enclosed garage even when the exhaust is going outside will build up a lot of heat.
