Non ULSD and FMTV group of vehicles

Was reading about travel to various parts unknown and in one discussion on South America was discussion on where the ULSD begins to get hard to get and what damage it may/may not cause if you ran it.

UPDATE: Course then again it appears ULSD did not hit till around year 2006 CA, 2007 rest of USA so guess this is a bit of a mute point...... but you can't erase threads in here.




PS- did search for ULSD and few others but got no hits. If there is a thread on this feel free to aim me toward better search keywords or a link to find it. Thanks in advance.

The 3116 is pre ulsd. Usld came about in 2006. The 3116 will be happier running older diesel, and you won't have to add additives to lube the injectors. It's what the engine was designed to run on.
