Can regular door hinges still be used after the holes have been drilled for the supplemental armor? It sure looks like a lot of holes are drilled in the vicinity of the original hinge mount points.
Thnx for the input.

Forgive my incorrect description. I am referring to the HMMWV's seen at auction with the side armor removed. Those trucks have a lot of holes remaining in the side panels. Several of those mounting holes seem like they may possibly interfere with reinstallation of normal door hinges.
Thnx,

That would be the Marine Armor Kit (MAK) if you are referring to the M1123

So the "supplemental armor" when it comes to doors is basically a layer of sheet metal that attaches over the outside of the normal X-door. It still uses the same hinges as the regular X-doors and the soft doors.

The MAK is full armor, so I wouldn't describe it as "supplemental"

And no, there are no issues going back to the lighter door hinges after removing the armored ones.
