ATTENTION!!!

Who is interested in the convoy into town to eat Saturday evening. I have talked to a couple resturants and all ask how many because it is Saturday and before Easter. Even if you brought a M109 or something and don't want to break camp, you can still hitch a ride. Plenty of rides with troop seats and cargo covers. This post also helps Cabell determine how many for his Saturday supper if he even needs to do a Sat supper. This will be roughly a half hour ride each way in MV's


Please post here or PM. Let me know how many in your party and if you are going to drive in the convoy. Thank You for your help in this matter. I'd really like a rough count by the end of this comming week.

kc4wd, My family and I are in for the Saturday Convoy into town for supper. There
are three of us. One 1008.

Me and my boy are ready for in-town dining Saturday night, with one HMMWV as transport. That leaves room for two more riders if necessary.

There are four of us. One m35 and a suburban. My boy will ride with me so there's room in the burban for any that prefer to not wear ear plugs.

CONVOY FOR SUPPER April 7th

Saturday convoy for supper is all set up. We will eat at Golden Corral in Asheboro around 1830. It Is a buffet and Grill. 15% Gratuity will be included on your ticket so no need to leave tip on the table. I have talked to Asheboro PD and we should be good for a police escort through town so we will all be together and don't have to worry about stoplights. Officer I spoke with said he is x-military and is off that day but would come in just to help us out.

Now I need more trucks and troops. I reserved for 40 + or - so if your not on the list you can still join in.

I'm not sure if it has been covered yet or not, but it never hurts for a reminder

The trails in Uwharrie ARE NOT big enough for anything bigger than a CUCV or M37.
M35 series and larger can not go on the trails

I'll have a couple of seats available in the M1009 for trail rides. Rick should have a couple too.
