Odd problem after getting a new ECM and programming it to 370hp A1R

Found a ECM part number 240-5312-02, from everything I can find, this is for FMM C7 engines. When programming, I did get an error that it couldn't program the "Outside temperature sensor". Other than that, everything went through properly, FLS, FTS, configuration, trim files all appear good. ECM reports 370hp map as well.
Going on a drive, had less power than my normal 330hp. Then on a long pull, had the check engine light come on. Unfortunately no codes were active or stored...I checked all the other computers on the truck and no codes on them either. Swapped my original ECM back in and it works as it should again.
The outside temperature sensor is a strange one...there is no mention I can find anywhere in the wiring diagram. I did verify the pin is populated and it did give a resistance of something like 150ohm.
Any ideas?

Probably needs a cleaner / wipe flash file loaded onto it first to blow away whatever the previous application was. I've encountered ECM's that had to be flashed 3 or 4 times to step them through different revisions and such. Never seen that specific issue but it doesn't surprise me - the CAT ECM revisions and flash files is a total dogs breakfast.

Reprogrammed ECM with different 370hp flash file (599-4816) and now it is working as it should. It makes some difference but nothing major. I have a consistent distance and best I could do with the 330hp version was 61mph and that was a cool day. With the 370hp, hit 64mph and it's humid and mid 80s today.

The redline didn't change - you can't go faster without changing gearing. Not a matter of power in this case really. The 370 makes a difference in acceleration. Top speed is achievable with any of the C7 maps.

Oh I'm aware I'm nowhere near redline, this was just the difference in speed in a set distance going WOT. Basically this is my trap speed.

That is also assuming everything else in the system is up to spec like primary fuel delivery, injector performance, boost/turbo performance, wastegate control and system integrity(boost leakage and intercooler efficiency/passages clear)...

Very true. I'd like to see the difference in cooler weather. I'm on the heavy side at just over 30k lbs.

Took it out on a long drive to our campground, made cruise control more pleasant as it shifted down to 5th a lot less, was able to hold 6th far better. Going 60 with very mild rolling hills.
