I live in Howell, Mi and am lucky to have friends that have lots of acreage....Just bought my M1009 two days ago, looking forward to getting it dirty this weekend!

Ive also never been to Silver Lake..From the videos/pictures Ive seen it doesnt look too bad...I assume the CUCVs have no problem getting around?

Im in Pinckney and had mine since last summer and have been working on it since don't think that i could have gotten a better first car and ya want to goto silver lake this summer or have u looked at bundy hill off road park

I've done a bunch! It has always got me home. People are pretty surprised sometimes at what it can do and get through. I've only been stuck once- high centered. But that was before the lift and 37" tires.

I have found I can climb about anything. Problem is ponds, the 6.2 sinks! But it LOVES snow!

Lets see, I didn't make it across the creek and had to be towed back out. And I didn't make it through the mudhole after the drop off and had a lot of pressure washing to do when I got home.

I'm slowly working on upgrades for my CUCV, I'll get it there one day. I'm used to taking the Deuce through that stuff, so it's interesting seeing what the stock CUCV will do.

Heck yeah... But as Cucvnut stated.. you definitely need bigger tires and lockers for that type of off roading

We like to run the river where we are,. lots of sand. the last trip was about 28 miles on the river, got to love a diesel when it comes to water
