Alright, I'm going to post this now as it is up in the air.

It looks like I need to dive into my ip and with only divining myself 5 days to mount the tires and add the wiring I'm not 100% sure I will be able to do the ip. Finding a shop to do it is a possibility, finding one is the issue. We do have some cummins shops but I know I will pay that "C" premium if I go there to have it done.

I am trying to think of a solution to all of this, possibly flying back to Texas and driving to van towing my trailer to the rally bringing the things I have already committed to bringing there for other people.

I know I will have to get a new tac cable as well as that is where the fuel is coming into the cab.

Not a happy camper right now, but I'm glad I decided to figure out the fuel issue first before doing the tires.

There just has to be a reasonable injection shop in the DFW area. Is the truck in Temple or are you still in LA?

Truck is in LA, I flew down yesterday and starting working on it this morning.

I'll look in the yellow pages. I'm also tempted to take all 7 tires with the new rims to a shop and have them switch them over, all though I know that will cost me a couple hundred.

Before I forget, please help remind me to take this back!!!

Does somebody working a lot with 5-tons or Deuces or whatever American saves his/her old screws, bolts etc? Especially those for the door panels or dashboard and bolts for keeping the engine kill cable in place etc??? Or can you get those at any local hardware shop?

I do not need new stuff but US non-metric is hard to come by in metric Europe or cost you an amazing price per bolt ( :? I had written there per screw, but I did not want to illicit all the double jokes. Like they say; a dirty mind is a joint forever  ). Don't need much, like a handful of screws and bolts. Is there a hardware shop close to the Rally place?

Any idea what you are looking for Robert. If you post up sizes we might be able to collect up some of the stuff you desire. Harbor Freight has some bolt and nut assortments. They are low grade but would seemingly be fine for door panels and interior work. You really need to walk a Harbor Freight Store while you are in the States.

Tomorrow I'm going to inspect all 10 tires on the truck and gauge whether to hold on the swap right now. I want to spray the cab with dawn and get the old tac cable out and at least get the wiring done. Ordered a pressure control switch to turn on the fuel pump at 10 psi and shut it off at 32. This way the pump will serve as a lift / priming pump as I intended and I don't have to worry about it over pressurizing the ip input. Also going to tie in the primer fuel pressure gauge to the inlet side of where the primer goes so I can monitor the fuel pressure.

Everything is coming together at work. I'm taking the while week off and I think I've got everything covered. I hope. I plan to arrive at D'Town about 1:00 or 2:00 on Monday. And I'm not leaving until Sunday afternoon.

My countdown timer says:

SSGR14 - is coming in 5 Days, 14 Hours, 59 Minutes, 11 Seconds!

SECO in Augusta is pretty close to the rally. You could always take a day to run there and pull the stuff off a truck.

2 trucks=16 u joints greased, 2 frt. knuckle housings pumped full of JD Corn Head grease, 4 new tie rod ends, 5 gal of misc oil, 3 gas tanks and 2 jerry cans filled with liquid gold.
Worth it? Oh yea! :naner:

Robo,
There is a Lowes hardware store down near the interstate near the rally. If all you need is plane jane grade 5 or lower fasteners you can get them cheap there. I can get a military discount 10% off.
