Hey guys I am looking for opinions as to why my 52 M-37 has an oil pressure gauge under the hood? It is mounted to the frame rail on the drivers side behind the axle, it still even has the oil pressure tube still attached to it. The pressure gauge is the same one as is in the cab its just mounted under the hood. The pressure gauge in the cab works fine so my question is WHY do I have a pressure gauge under the hood and it looks completely like it was this way from the factory?
Any ideas?

Original gauge is electrical not a mechanical one. Maybe the previous owner had a non working original and just replaced it with one he was sure of. And also having one to look at when your working on the engine is a plus.P1010008 - Copy.jpg
