1. What exactly did they use this for?
2. Is it under a lot of pressure
3. Can I use it to deliver oil to my turbo charger?
4. If not where can I tap in to get oil?
Thanks if you can answer these questions

Army Oil Analysis Program, AOAP. Used for periodic monitoring of wear metals, fuel dilution, soot load and lubrication value. Saved a lot of oil, samples were initially drawn using a Vamp Gun (vacuum pump with disposable straws, sucked oil from dipstick hole directly), then valves made this far easier.

Yes, it is under system pressure.

Yes, it is suitable for turbocharger lubrication. You still have to find a suitable return line which should be 3 times the diameter of the supply line.

I have only seen these on the 1028 series but think they may have been on the 1031s. I get regular samples ran by black stone labs. CUCV included. I will get on computer later and see if I can attach one. These lab analysis can really tell you a lot about a diesel engine or even a transmission or gear oil. The lab keeps up with CUCV averages for the 6.2 as well so you can compare.

Oil analysis from CUCV

Here is a oil analysis sample like you would get from your truck. I have ran several on all my vehicles... I have also ran a sample from the transmission.

I have removed my original due to 'personal info' posted.

transmission sample test

Here is the transmission sample. I had to pull the transmission so I took a sample w/o filter change to just see what it would show. I have since dropped the pan and changed filter and fluid and I am going to run 10k on this next run... just that 10k will take me 2 years to get on the truck.

Planning on running samples on my 1009 soon just changed oil and didn't grab a sample bottle... opps...
