Probably started life as a proud 6602 gas powered cargo. I wonder if it remembers what it was like to have a white star painted on the door and be cared for by a new GI private.

Sweet truck.
So did it starts it life as a military or civilian vehicle?
Either way I see it as a vehicle that deserves a better life. You can hear the cry for help. That is a proud truck, almost to proud to ask for help.

I've seen a couple trucks very similar to this one come up in SoCal construction auctions before. Same color, cab mods, and hood. I think they were listed as M62s and M54s but I'm not sure how accurate the listings were. One even had AC into the passenger foot vent. Interesting engine conversion on this truck.

They are or were quite popular down here. I have two deuces that were water trucks, one with the 'glass conversion. The guy wants $3500 for this one. Too much for me...

Q: are the air pots mounted on the brakes like that stock/original? Didn't look quite right to me.
