I have a Zenith series 28 carb.. they were used on GMC 270s - 302s.

Anyone have a source for meter rods and jets? The rebuild kit doesn't seem to have enough parts... plus if I booger one up I would like to have a spare and not have to drop $50 on another rebuild kit.

Are the rods bent or etched? If they aren't there should be no reason to replace them. Same for the jets, they usually don't wear. If they are all covered in varnish, go down to NAPA or the likes and get some air line alcohol and drop the varnished/ugly parts into a container filled with enough of it to completely cover the parts. You might need to give them a bit of a scrub with a toothbrush, but they will look like new.
