Thumbing through the auctions today and came across something interesting. A govt owned K5 (not a CUCV) Blazer that proudly boasts 5k miles and 230 hours. That got me curious as I had never known a Blazer CUCV or not, even with a diesal, to have an hour meter. Turns out I was correct as what they were calling 230 hours was the mileage on the trip meter and anyone looking at engine would assume the 5k miles was really 105k.

Again, this was NOT a CUCV but a civilian Blazer that some area of the govt had. It's painted gray so I'm thinking Navy.

My old department used to add hour meters to the traffic cars since they would sit idling for long periods. This may have been the case with this one also.

I saw a 5-ton recently with a mileage of something like "327,123" and the pic of the speedometer clearly showed 32712.3, so you never can believe what gets tracscribed into the listing description...

Guys, read the 1st post of this thread. I said it was a "trip meter" so nobody needs to guess that anymore.
