I recently picked up a complete original style 6k winch. It did not have any of the main power cords and the controller harness is cut.

I've seen them on HMMWVs long ago installed but I can't remember some things. I've personally installed both front and rear hydraulic milemarker and front 12k Warn winches so I have a decent idea of the mechanics involved.

Is there a parts manual or wiring diagram available for them? My part number and serial number sticker was removed.

Where does the controller harness go? Does it get mounted on the inside of cab? Does it go in the 6k style winch controller box? I know it doesn't get mounted on the winch like the 12k version.

The 1985 TMs will cover that. Possibly the Warn website has info. Back in the DRMO days, there would be triwalls full of those, all burned out.
